Theodore “Ted” Charles Galarowic of Moline, Illinois, age 68, passed away on June 13, 2023, at a nursing home after a long battle with diabetes. He was born on October 17, 1954, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Joseph and Margaret (Potwardowski) Galarowic.

Ted grew up in Goetzville, Michigan, and graduated from Detour High School. He moved to Moline where he worked for 30 years for John Deere until his retirement in 2012.

He was a member of the United Auto Workers (UAW).

Ted enjoyed bicycle touring and playing tennis. He loved to return to the UP to visit family and enjoy Chippewa county.

He is survived by brothers, Phil Galarowic and Steve Galarowic, as well as many cousins.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023, from 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Galer Funeral Homes in Pickford, Michigan.

Graveside Service and Burial will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, at St Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Goetzville, Michigan beginning at 11:00 AM.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be sent to one of the following: Doctors without Borders, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Public Television.
