Shirley Louise (Harwood) Feltis, age 88, died on August 7, 2026, at the Ball Hospice House. She was born to Edward and Virginia (Woodard) Harwood on May 28,1938, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

Shirley grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault High Schools.

She married the love of her life, William (Bill) Feltis during her senior year of high school. Shirley spent 69 happy years by his side until he passed in 2025. As loving parents, they considered their five children to be one of their greatest accomplishments.

Shirley was an accomplished homemaker: her artful creations included sewing, knitting, crocheting, embroidery projects, and other hand-made treasures. She was an avid home canner, taking full advantage of the annual home garden. Her generosity and grace will be missed by all.

Shirley is survived by her children, Dennis of Dafter, Michigan, Kim (Jeffrey) Kallio of Hulbert, Michigan, Joseph (Debra) of Columbiaville, Michigan, and William (Stacie) of Brimley, Michigan; grandchildren include, Wade, Eric, Stefin, Levi, Taylor, Jarrett, Tyler, Grace, Jordan, Johnathan, and Kurtis.

Preceding Shirley in death are her parents, Edward and Virginia Harwood; her brothers, Larry and Ronald Harwood; her son, Vern Feltis; her daughter-in-law, Lynn Feltis; and her grandson,Christoper Feltis.

A Celebration of Life is planned Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Brimley VFW Hall Family and friends are invited to come together, share memories, offer support, and celebrate a life that will always be remembered and cherished. Visitation hour will begin at 11 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 12 p.m. with luncheon to follow.
