Rose Mary (Hogarth) Brabant, age 63, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on Monday, June 8, 2026, at the Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on October 18, 1962, in Sault Ste. Marie, to John and Marie (Mendoskin) Hogarth.

Rose grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and attended Sault Area High School. She worked for many years at Northern Linen and later retired as a supervisor from DDC OMNI.

Rose was a proud member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians.

Rose enjoyed a variety of crafts and was especially talented at crocheting, beading, and basket making. She cherished spending time with her family and loved cooking and preparing meals for those she cared about. Her creativity, kindness, and devotion to her loved ones will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Rose is survived by her sons, William Hogarth of Sault Ste. Marie, Christopher Brabant of Franklin Park, Illinois, and Donald Brabant of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Julius St. James, Leland Hogarth, Ryan Brabant, and Payton Brabant; siblings, Betty Caron of Windsor, Ontario, Evelyn Cardamoni of Sault Ste. Marie and Irene (Larry) Pavlot; and lifetime friend, Julia Rawlings.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie; brother, John Hogarth; and brothers-in-law, Tom Caron and Joe Cardamoni.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM at Family Life Funeral Homes, 4951 S. M-129 Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. The Memorial Service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Rose’s honor to Ball Hospice House, 308 W. 12th Ave., Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.

Rose’s final resting place will be Wilwalk Cemetery on Sugar Island, Michigan.
