Obituary For Robin Lee Schenkel

Robin Lee Schenkel, a woman of profound love, sharp wit, and boundless devotion to her family, passed away on June 25, 2026, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by the love of her family, including her beloved husband, Max, her son, Philip Miller, and her daughter, Elizabeth Sisson-Freeman.

Robin was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 7, 1945, the youngest child of Robert and Mary (Chapman) Robley. She graduated from Dondero High School and later married Floyd Jan Miller. They shared many years together until Jan's passing in 1981.

In 1992, Robin married Franz "Max" Schenkel in Rochester, Michigan, where they made their home. After retirement, they relocated to Cedarville, Michigan, to be closer to family, a decision that reflected Robin's commitment to those she loved most.

Robin had a gift for making every house feel like a home. She loved decorating and took great pride in creating warm, welcoming spaces for family and friends. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, Spencer, Sophia, Gibson, Emily, Braeden, and Tatum and was overjoyed to welcome her great-grandchildren, Cyrus and Ember, into her life.

Robin will be remembered for her quick sense of humor, generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply and in the lives she touched with her kindness, laughter, and grace.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the heart and lung association in her name.

Information for a celebration to come.
