Randy William Johnson, age 59, of Hessel, Michigan, died on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Medilodge in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on August 24, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan, to Marion and Frances (Grzebieniowski) Johnson.

Randy grew up in Warren, Michigan, and graduated from Lincoln High School. After graduation, he participated in a work study program and went on to work at a tile and carpet shop for many years. In the early 2000s, he moved to the Upper Peninsula, where he made his home in Hessel. He later worked as a porter at Kewadin Casinos until his retirement in 2025.

Randy enjoyed working on cars and motors in his younger years. He also liked spending time with his family and friends, relaxing with a cold drink, and watching television, especially Supernatural.

Randy is survived by his sons, Joseph Johnson and Mitchell Johnson; one granddaughter; brothers, James Johnson, Robert (Shirley) Johnson; sisters, Terri (David) Engles and Dawn Berry; and brother-in-law, Paul Ciesielski.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Marion; mother and stepfather, Frances (William) Eggers; and sister, Debbie Ciesielski.

Per Randy’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
