Obituaries

Randell Wayne Hatch, age 75, of Hessel, Michigan, died on April 15, 2026, at his home. He was born July 19, 1950, in Jackson, Michigan, to Floyd and Billie (Mains) Hatch.

Randell grew up in Leslie and Ypsilanti, Michigan, and graduated from Willow Run High School with the Class of 1968. Following high school, he began a long and dedicated career with Michigan Bell/Ameritech Phone Company.

Randell was a proud member of Eagles Club #2250 in Ypsilanti.

Randell enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, pursuing most wild game. He also enjoyed fishing and could often be found on the golf course with friends whenever he had the opportunity. He also enjoyed watching Detroit Lions football and University of Michigan Wolverines football. In his younger years, Randell enjoyed playing softball and horseshoes. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Randell is survived by his sons, Matthew Hatch and Christopher Hatch; grandchildren, Breanna Hatch, Adam Hatch, Lexie Hatch, Jenna Hatch, and Phoebe Hatch; great-grandson, Adam Hatch Jr.; and siblings, Lee Watters, Gary Watters, and Susan Gallegos.

Randell was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Billie; and his brother, James Watters.

A memorial service will be held in the summer of 2026, with details to be announced.
