Nancy Ann (Brown) Frazier, a dedicated mother who walked by faith and loved without condition returned home to her heavenly Father September 7, 2026. She was born on October 18, 1940, in a small town in the hills of Newport, Tennessee. Nancy was raised by her beloved mother and father, Goldie and Homer Brown, along with her five brothers and one sister.

Nancy spent her younger years in Tennessee until she met the love of her life, Bill “Chum” Frazier. Bill started writing to Nancy while he was stationed in Germany, and when he returned to the United States, he went and brought her to Northern Michigan, where they began to create a beautiful life together. Nancy could often be heard saying that her marriage to Bill was “Heaven Sent”. They were married on April 19, 1963, in Greenville, Tennessee.

Nancy & Bill had seven children together and spent their days loving them and making beautiful memories, from blueberry picking and swimming in the lakes to baking bread and her and her glazed donuts. She was a phenomenal down home cookin’ woman. She made the world’s best fried chicken, soup beans, cornbread, baked beans, potatoe salad. She passed on her gift of cooking to all of her children, even her boys.

Now, Nancy was not a woman of many words, but her strength, resilience, and love shone through brightly every day. When you walked into a room with her, you could feel her calmness, even when the world was falling beneath you. Her best saying was, “Now, there’s no sense in worrying. There is nothing you can do about that. God has a plan”. Her faith and love of God were evident and carried her through many trials and tribulations.

Nancy was a stay-at-home mom for many years. As the children started to get older, she decided to earn her high school diploma from LaSalle High School in St. Ignace in 1983, the same year as her son, Rich. She cleaned hotel rooms for a number of years with her good friend, Sheryl. Later, she found her passion when she began working alongside her son, Billy Joe, in adult foster care with individuals who lived with cognitive and physical disabilities. She later established her own adult foster care home, Companions in Daily Living. She wanted to make sure each individual was loved and cared for just like family.

Nancy and Bill were able to spend some of their retirement years travelling south, spending their winters in Gulf Shores, Alabama, and exploring the surrounding area.

Nancy will forever be remembered by her loving children: sons, Richard (Kathy) Frazier, Tony (Kari) Frazier, Steve (Diane) Frazier and Jason (Regina) Frazier; daughter, Nicole (Mathew) Price; daughter-in-law, Amy Webber; grandchildren, Alysha, Travis (Kirsten), Hunter (Reese), Aaron (Kaitlyn), Abigail (Ronald/Goob), Tabitha, Justen (Tamara), Bryce (Brittany), Jessie (Riley), Ryan (Maria) Waldrup, Rexton and Griffin Price; step grandchildren, Kayla (Cody) Reed, and Kenzie (CJ) Weber; great-grandchildren, Addie, Emmett, Rosie, Ana, William, Eli, Kinsley, Ivy, Brody, Brynn, Scarlett, Harrison, Holland and Nova; brother, John (Peggy) Brown; special friend, Sheryl Mclain; sisters-in-law, Julie Brown; Brown, Hope Brown; and Shirley Brown; in-laws Joe (Dee) Frazier, May Wiertalla, Mary (Dale) Streichert and Anne (Rich) Haske; and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, William “Chum” Frazier; son, Billy Joe Frazier; infant son, William John Frazier; parents, Homer and Goldie; siblings, Alfred, Betty Joe, Ronald, Jim and Rex; and sister-in-law, Joan Herman.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, in St. Ignace. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00 PM, with burial to follow immediately at Epoufette Cemetery in Epoufette, Michigan. There will be a luncheon to follow the burial at Hendricks Township Hall in Epoufette.
