Justin Carl Sibbald, age 43, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on Friday, May 8, 2026. He was
born on August 23, 1982, in Sault Ste. Marie, to Michael Sibbald and Susan (Avery) Ayers.

Justin grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and attended Soo Area High School. He worked as a laborer in
the construction field and was known as a hard worker who was always willing to lend a helping
hand to others.

Justin regularly attended Rosedale Community Church and held a strong faith in God.

Justin loved his family dearly and especially cherished the time he spent with his daughter and
his three dogs, Sam, Maggie, and Xena. He had a deep love for the outdoors, spending time on
his property and enjoying boating, fishing, hunting, and kayaking. Justin also had a passion for
music and enjoyed singing and playing guitar and drums alongside his sister, Holly and Jason.

Justin is survived by his daughter, Acelynn Sibbald of Sault Ste. Marie; mother, Susan (Eric)
Ayers of Bruce Township; father, Michael (Melody) Sibbald of Sault Ste. Marie; sister, Holly
(Jason Lamoreaux) Sibbald of Kinross, Michigan; brother, John (Kimberly) Sibbald of Sault Ste.
Marie; grandfather, Carl Avery; grandmother, Margaret Sibbald; uncles, David (Mickey)
Sibbald, Phillip (Peggy) Sibbald, Robert Sibbald; aunt, Carla (John) Cryderman; nephews, John
Sibbald Jr., Joshua (Kylie) Sibbald, Zachary (Gabby) Sibbald, and Noah Jones; niece, Emma
Jones; and cousins, Lacee Cryderman, Christopher (Dee) Avery, and Tanner Berlek.

Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Sibbald; grandmother, Beverly Avery;
nephew, Jacob Sibbald; and aunt, Janice Avery.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, at Family Life
Funeral Homes, 4951 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. The funeral service will begin at
4:30 PM.

9 Mile Rd., Dafter, MI 49724 or to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter, 3660 S. Mackinac
Trail, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
