Obituary For Judith Katherine Weber
Lifelong Newberry resident Judith “Judy” Katherine Weber, 88, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, with her family by her side.
Judy was born August 7, 1937, in Newberry, Michigan, to Mervin “Skip” and Annabelle Conlon. She was a proud graduate of Newberry High School. On December 29, 1956, she married Wayne Weber, beginning a marriage rooted in love, partnership, and family. Judy worked for many years at Mac’s Market, where she retired as produce manager and was known for her hard work, friendly spirit, and dedication to her coworkers and customers.
A member of the American Legion Post #74 Ladies Auxiliary, Judy was deeply involved in her community. She loved cooking and experimenting with new recipes. Her homemade pizzas and stuffed pickled jalapeños were legendary among family and friends. Every Christmas, she devoted countless hours to making her delicious chocolates, preparing trays to share with those she loved. Judy was also a talented seamstress and created many beautiful handmade quilts that will be cherished for years to come.
Judy found joy in camping with her family, and true to her spunky nature, she discovered a love for side‑by‑side riding at age 85 — never missing a chance to hop in for a ride.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband Wayne in 2015; siblings Carol Keune, Shirley Kisabeth, Mike Conlon, and Pat Conlon; and son‑in‑law Michael Danielson.
Survivors include her children: Danette Danielson of Newberry; Terry (Sukie) Weber of O’Fallon, Illinois; Curt Weber of O’Fallon, Illinois; and Chris (Hazel) Weber of Browns Mills, New Jersey. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Heather (Chad) Huskamp of Kansas City, Missouri; Kaleena (Douglas) Littlejohn of Newberry; Samantha Weber of Granite City, Illinois; and Laura (Mike) Kiczek of Owego, New York; great‑grandchildren Drake, Connor, Riley, Slade, Chloe, Porter, and Bryce; and her sister Mary Sharon Smith of Gaylord.
A gathering of family and friends celebrating Judy’s life will be held at the American Legion in Newberry on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 1–3 p.m.
