Dolores “Dee” Jean LeuVoy, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away on September 1, 2026, at home just weeks before her 94th birthday. She was born on October 10, 1932, to Clarence and Phyllis (Cowperthwaite) Farran in Lansing, Michigan.

Dee graduated from Eaton Rapids High School in 1950. She married Donald LeuVoy in 1951, and they lived in Charlotte, Michigan and Portland, Michigan before moving to Sault Ste. Marie with their four children in 1967.

Dee was employed in a variety of jobs as a secretary, receptionist and salesclerk. She completed some journalism classes at Lake Superior State University while working for the Community Action Agency, which published The Communicator, a senior citizen newspaper.

Dee was an accomplished seamstress, and after she retired, she took up wood crafting and decorative painting. Dee also liked to read and spend time online doing puzzles, watching videos and keeping up with current events.

Dee is survived by her three daughters, Gwen Worley, and Gayla (James) Palmer of Sault Ste. Marie, and Sherry (Ken) Demaray of Eckerman, Michigan; son, Randall (Angel) LeuVoy of Lancaster, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Carolyn (Joshua) Brady, Eric (Katey Price) Worley, Scott (Megan) Davidson, Lisa (Daniel) Tetzlaff, Brian (Holly) LeuVoy, Sean (Holly) LeuVoy, Jordon (Helena) LeuVoy, Trevor (Bailey) LeuVoy, and Brenton LeuVoy; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Dee was preceded by her husband of 57 years, Don LeuVoy; and her son-in-law, Michael Worley; parents, Clarence and Phyllis.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Family Life Funeral Home, 4951 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. The Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM, with Brenda Ransom officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Dolores has suggested that memorials be made to the Chippewa County Community Foundation for the Mike Worley Memorial Scholarship, P. O. Box 1979, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783, or to the First United Presbyterian Church, 555 Bingham Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
