Debra Louise Tremblay, age 71, of Brimley, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born on March 5, 1955, in Sault Ste. Marie, to Armand Isadore and Louise Ann (Livingston) Tremblay.

Debbie grew up in Brimley and graduated from Brimley High School. She was the proud owner and operator of Aunt Debbie's Restaurant for twenty years, located on Main Street in Brimley across from the high school for about twenty years, and she was a staple in the community during the 80’s and 90’s. Known for her famous fries and delicious home-cooked meals, Debbie's restaurant became a beloved gathering place where generations of students and community members created lasting memories. After selling the restaurant, she continued her career by working alongside her mother at the family business, Grandma's Ceramics.

Debbie was a faithful member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.

Debbie had a lifelong love for animals, especially her horses and her beloved dogs, Molly and Dolly. She found great joy in horseback riding and took pride in caring for the animals she loved. In her quieter moments, Debbie enjoyed watching classic Western television shows, a favorite pastime she cherished throughout her life.

Debbie is survived by her sister, Lorraine Tremblay of Brimley; brother, Ted (Cyndy) Tremblay of Georgia; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Debbie was preceded in death by her son, Maurice Thompson; parents, Armand and Louise; sister, Connie Tremblay; and brothers, Tom, Jim and Mark Tremblay.

Debbie was cared for by her home help care worker, Nancy, who she loved and was so thankful for.

Per Debbie’s wishes, no services are being held.
