Obituary For Cody Dean Rindy
Cody Dean Rindy, age 34, of Brimley, Michigan, died at his home on May 31, 2026. He was born on January 8, 1992, in Dover, Delaware, to Ronald and Rhoda “Renee” (Bugg) Rindy.
Cody was a vibrant young man whose quick wit, playful humor, and infectious personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He loved to joke and was always lovingly teasing friends and family, bringing laughter and lightheartedness wherever he went. His ability to make people smile was one of his greatest gifts, his laughter and smile lifted up those whom had the honor of experiencing it.
Professionally, Cody dedicated many years of service to Bay Mills Indian Community, where he built meaningful lifelong relationships with coworkers who were more like family. Yet, it was how Cody made people feel that will be remembered moving forward.
Cody had the special ability to make people feel seen, appreciated, and loved. Behind his playful nature and cheeky personality was an incredibly big heart. Cody was deeply thoughtful and always looking for ways to brighten someone else's day. Whether it was surprising a friend with flowers, dropping off a favorite snack, or showing up with a coffee just because he was thinking of them, his acts of kindness reflected the genuine love and care he carried for others.
In the end, it is rarely the grand gestures that stay with us. It is the small things, these quiet acts of thoughtfulness that become the threads binding memories together long after someone is gone. While those moments may have seemed ordinary at the time, they have become extraordinary in their absence, something Cody understood without ever needing to say it.
Most importantly, Cody was a son, brother, uncle, and friend. His passing will leave an absence in the lives of many within Bay Mills. Please take a moment today to put some seemaa down to pray for a safe journey for Cody to the spirit world, and for strength and comfort for his family in their time of grief as they process this deep loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. At this time, there is no fire being kept for Cody.
Cody is survived by his parents, Ronald and Renee; stepmother, Mary Joe; siblings, Alicia and Preston; and nephews, Maverick and Mason.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents; Dean and Valerie Rindy, George Bugg Sr., Maxine Burns; sister, Angel Rindy; and aunt, Rhonda Rindy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Bay Mills Cultural & Language Center, 12498 W. Tower Rd., Brimley, MI 49715.
