Obituaries

Ann Cecilia Landreville, age 83, of DeTour, Michigan, died on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Hearthside Assisted Living in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on April 4, 1943, in DeTour to Ray and Ina (Toivola) Landreville.

Ann grew up on the family farm near Caribou Lake in DeTour and spent most of her life in the DeTour area.

Ann enjoyed playing cards and bingo with family and friends. She looked forward to attending Senior Center lunches, where she could visit and catch up with friends, and she never passed up a chance to play cribbage with the guys. At home, she enjoyed putting together puzzles and watching old television reruns and home renovation shows. She also enjoyed crafting with her sisters and close friends, and had a special talent for knitting, often making dishcloths to share with family and friends. She had many furry animals she loved dearly over the years. Above all, Ann cherished time spent with loved ones and always looked forward to family reunions.

Ann is survived by her sisters, Audrey Wehmeier of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Angie (David) Thompson of Quincy, Illinois, Irene (Doug) Law of Champaign, Illinois, and Debra Bailey of Drummond Island, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews, who will all miss her dearly.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ina; sister, Darlene (Jerry) Jarmusch; brothers, Keith (Shirley) Landreville, Lucian (Kathy) Landreville, Leo (Pat) Landreville, and Richard Landreville; and brothers-in-law, Milton Wehmeier, and Wayne Bailey;

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM at Family Life Funeral Homes, 24549 S. M-129 Pickford, MI 49774. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 with the burial to follow immediately.

Ann’s final resting place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in DeTour, Michigan.
