GRAYLING, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Daniel Gene Ellison, 36 of Grayling, for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
Ellison was arrested following an investigation which began when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search of Ellison’s residence resulted in digital evidence being seized.
Ellison was charged with four counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and four counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Ellison was arraigned in the 87-C Judicial District Court on Tuesday, September 8.
The ICAC Task Force was assisted by the MSP Gaylord Post, Crawford County Sheriff’s Department, Strike Team Investigative Narcotics Group, and the Seventh District Emergency Support Team.
