Eastern Upper Peninsula Horsemen’s Association Continues 2026 Show Season This Weekend

KINROSS, Mich. — The Eastern Upper Peninsula Horsemen’s Association is back in the
arena this weekend at the Kinross/Chippewa County Fairgrounds for another exciting round
of horse shows, clinics, vendors, and community fun.

EUPHA will host a full weekend of events June 5–7, beginning with Speed Events on Friday,
June 5 at 6:00 p.m. The weekend continues with a Pleasure Clinic on Saturday, June 6,
kicking off at 9:00 a.m. with the first group of riders, led by Greg Holstege of Infinity
Pleasure Horses. The weekend wraps up with a full Pleasure Show on Sunday, June 7 at
9:00 a.m.

The June 7 Pleasure Show will be judged by Greg Holstege and will include a variety of
classes for youth and adult riders. Exhibitors are encouraged to stop by the booth, check in
early, and review all show information before entering the ring.

EUPHA’s 2026 season has already started strong, with riders, volunteers, vendors,
sponsors, and spectators helping make the season opener a success. The organization
continues to work through first-show adjustments and appreciates the patience and
support of everyone involved.

“This season is about more than ribbons,” said EUPHA Board President Naomi Shunk. “It is
about youth development, horsemanship, sportsmanship, community, and giving riders of
all ages a place to grow. We are proud to offer a welcoming place for families, exhibitors,
and spectators to come together and enjoy the horse show experience.”

Show attendees are encouraged to visit the vendor area, support local businesses, and
stop by the EUPHA booth for information, awards, and updates. Food trucks and apparel
vendors will be on site during the weekend, giving exhibitors, families, and spectators the
chance to grab a bite to eat and shop while enjoying the show.

Riders who did not pick up awards from the previous show may do so at the booth this
weekend.

EUPHA thanks its many sponsors, volunteers, vendors, judges, clinicians, families, and
exhibitors for helping make the 2026 season possible.
