PARADISE, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) invites the public to a meeting regarding this year’s road improvement projects scheduled for M-123 in and around Paradise, Chippewa County.

Project information:
MDOT is investing about $3.1 million to rebuild M-123 in Paradise, Chippewa County. The project includes partial crushing and shaping of the existing pavement, asphalt repaving with wide shoulders for an ORV connector trail, and improved stormwater infrastructure. A Transportation Alternatives Grant will fund a paved shared-use path, concrete sidewalk, crosswalks and lighting. Additionally, MDOT will invest nearly $4 million to resurface 14 miles of M-123 near Paradise.
