Eastern Upper Peninsula Residents Invited to Fifth Annual Family Fun Day at Sault Historic Sites and Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours on Sunday May 31, 2026.

March 2026 – Sault Ste. Marie, MI – Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours and Sault Historic Sites invite Eastern Upper Peninsula (EUP) residents to their fifth annual Family Fun Day on Sunday, May 31. In exchange for a monetary donation at each site, EUP residents with valid identification can enjoy access to the Museum Ship Valley Camp, Tower of History, River of History Museum, and a Famous Soo Locks Boat Tour. This year, all donations will benefit the “I AM THE STORM” Mackenzie (Kalchik) Paul Memorial Scholarship, hosted by the Chippewa County Community Foundation.
About the Scholarship
The “I Am the Storm” Mackenzie (Kalchik) Paul Memorial Scholarship honors the memory and spirit of Mackenzie (Kalchik) Paul by supporting a local graduating senior who plans to pursue a four-year degree at an accredited institution of higher education. The scholarship recognizes a student who reflects Mackenzie’s strength, kindness, and determination.

Family Fun Day Hours
- Museum Ship Valley Camp, Tower of History, and River of History Museum: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Famous Soo Locks Boat Tours Lobby opens at 9 a.m. – Lock tours depart at: 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.
