TDelta County, Michigan. – On June 1, 2025, at approximately 10:12 am, troopers from the
Michigan State Police (MSP) Gladstone Post responded to a fatal traffic crash in Ensign
Township, Delta County.
The preliminary investigation has revealed that a vehicle traveling southbound on County 513 T
Road near Twin Springs Park 20.5 Lane crossed over the center line and struck a northbound
vehicle head-on.
The driver of the northbound vehicle, a 60-year-old man from Rapid River, sustained fatal
injuries because of the crash. The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 45-year-old man from
Rapid River, sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba
for treatment. There were no other passengers in either vehicle. Drugs and/or alcohol may have
been factors in this crash. The investigation remains ongoing.

Department, Ensign and Masonville Township Fire Departments, and Rampart EMS.
