SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be evaluating traffic signals at two intersections this summer in the city of Sault Ste. Marie, Chippewa County. The study will evaluate the safety and operational performance of the intersections.
Starting at 10 a.m. June 3, the traffic signals at the intersections of I-75 Business Spur (Ashmun Street)/Maple (Ridge) Street and I-75 Business Spur (East Portage Avenue)/Johnston Street will be in flash mode. The study is scheduled to be completed in September.
Motorists should be aware of the change in the traffic pattern and use caution at these intersections.
