SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – Motorists should expect lane closures on M-129 between the I-75 Business Spur and 18th Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie beginning next week.
Starting Monday, June 10, and continuing for about two weeks, crews will be performing drainage repairs, curb work and repaving. The schedule is weather dependent.
There will be a mix of daytime and nighttime work. There will be intermittent single-lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., with one lane of alternating traffic on M-129 maintained using traffic controllers. Daytime work will require outside lane closures.
This additional corrective work is needed to complete the $7.8 million project that rebuilt and resurfaced M-129 from north of 10 Mile Road to 18th Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie last year.
