Keith Urban to headline new Northern Lights Music Fest in Escanaba

ESCANABA, MI – More people are expected to attend this inaugural music festival than live in the actual city where the event is taking place. The first ever “Northern Lights Music Fest” has just been announced for this July in Escanaba in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, population 12,000.

The event will take place on Friday, July 21 and Saturday, July 22 at the U.P. State Fairgrounds located at 2401 12th Avenue North. 15,000 festival-goers are expected to attend the festival taking place under the U.P. night sky.

Tickets will go on sale on Friday March 31 (exact time not announced). Prices and showtimes have also not yet been announced. When they go on sale, tickets for Friday’s rock night can be purchased here. Tickets for Saturday’s country night can be purchased here.

Attendees will be able to camp out onsite each night so they don’t have to leave the festival. There will also be food available for purchase. Campsites are available to book in advance for July 20-22 at $35 a night.

“We expect the Northern Lights Music Fest to become an annual spectacle, so join us for what will be a memorable first year,” event organizers wrote on the event’s website.”

Friday’s lineup features Pop Evil, Skid Row’s Sebastian Bach and 80s rockers Steelheart. Saturday’s lineup features Keith Urban and Austin Snell.
