Obituary For Wilma Christine Stefanski

Wilma Christine Stefanski, age 88, of Goetzville, Michigan, died on April 6, 2026, at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey, Michigan. She was born on September 16, 1937, in Goetzville, to Louis and Mildred (Izzard) Crisp.

Wilma was raised in Goetzville as one of ten children in a lively and loving family. On June 30, 1956, she married Donald J. Stefanski, and together they made their home on his family farm in Raber. They shared many happy years of marriage until Donald’s passing in 1991.

Wilma loved her family fiercely. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the comforting aroma of meals she lovingly prepared for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews—who were truly the center of her world. She treasured time spent with her close-knit group of friends, especially their Tuesday line dancing gatherings at Raber Hall and Sunday lunches at local restaurants, where they often found themselves laughing until their stomachs hurt.

Wilma dedicated over 30 years of service delivering mail throughout the Raber, Goetzville, and Stalwart areas, becoming a familiar and friendly face to many in the community. She lived life to the fullest and especially cherished her annual summer trips to spend time with her daughter, Natalie.

Wilma is survived by her children, Natalie (Dave) Dickerson and Rudy (Janie) Stefanski; daughter-in-law, JoAnne Stefanski; grandchildren, Megan Stefanski, Adam (Jess) Stefanski, Ashley (Zac) Stefanski, Vanessa (Matt) DeGrand, Paul (Alexx) Dickerson, and Sam Dickerson; and great-grandchildren, Johannah, Noah, Lylah, Elyse, Drew, Anna, Bella, Paisley, and Reid.

Wilma was preceded in death her husband, Don; son, Donnie Stefanski; siblings, Nona, Gladys, Mildred, Audrey, Marshall, Bob, Dick, Ken, and George; and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 30, 2026, from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the Raber Township Hall, 16315 M-48, Goetzville, MI 49736.
