Wesley Crockatt Esson, age 84 of Barbeau, Michigan passed away on April 22, 2023, at HCA Florida Largo Hospital.

Wesley was born on January 1, 1939, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI to the late Charles and Gladys (TenEyck) Esson. Wesley was a graduate of Sault High School with the class of 1958. He worked for over 20 years as a plumber/pipefitter. Later, he worked for the Airforce Force Base and transitioned to the State of Michigan. In June of 1998, Wesley married Susan Sibble on a Soo Locks Boat Tour boat. He enjoyed golfing, boating, and woodworking. He loved to build things for his family.

Wesley is survived by his children: Charles (Pam) Esson of Barbeau, MI, Wesley (Christine) Esson of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, and Valery Esson of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; several grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Wesley is also survived by his sister: Linda Snider of Wheeling, WV.

Wesley was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Susan; and a sister: Lucille Franklin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, at 3:00 PM at C.S. Mulder Funeral Home. Friends may visit that same day starting at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Hospice of the EUP.
