Wayne Thomas Crimin, age 85, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died surrounded by his loved ones at the Pennington Home in Pickford, Michigan, on October 9, 2023. He was born on August 25, 1938, in Sault Ste. Marie to Hugh and Margaret (St. Germaine) Crimin.

Wayne grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault High School. He went on to bravely serve his country in the United States Navy. He returned to Sault Ste Marie and worked on ships of The Great Lakes before beginning his career for the United States Corp of Engineers. On June 21, 1969, he married the love of his life, Claudia Waldron Crimin. Together they started a hobby farm on 6 Mile Road, where they raised their 6 children.

Wayne was an amazing family man with an incredible work ethic. Nothing brought him more joy than being around his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Farming was a passion, and he loved the outdoors. In recent years he enjoyed his winters at Paradise Park in Punta Gorda FL. His favorite past times were golfing, reading western books, and happy hours with his friends. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and spent many years volunteering at the Chippewa County Fair.

Wayne is survived by his sons, Toby (Colleen) Crimin of North Carolina, Casey (Rebecca) Crimin of Pickford, Michigan, and Cory Crimin of Midland, Texas; daughters, Toni (Jim) Kronemeyer of Pickford, Michigan, Lexi (Josh) Zenner of Sault Ste. Marie, and Lynn (Robert) Hough of Rudyard, Michigan; grandchildren, Jake Crimin, Alana (Christian) Winey, Ben Crimin, Chelsea (Nathan) Ketchum, Lindsey Kronemeyer, Nathen Kronemeyer, Zachary Kronemeyer, Jayden Crimin, Kaylee Crimin, Alex (Alex) Marino, Ashlyn Zenner, Charlie Zenner, Hayley Lamb, and Tommy Lamb; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Peyton, Thea, and Luna; sister, Diane (Bob) Kline of St. Louis, Missouri; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Crimin of Sault Ste. Marie, and Mary (Edward) Pilok of New York.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Margaret; wife, Claudia; and siblings, Alfred Crimin and Raymond Crimin.

Memorial Gathering will be held on October 21, 2023, at 11:00am, at the Family Life Funeral Homes in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, with the memorial service to follow at 12:00.

The final Resting Place will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie.
