Victoria Hope Garber, age 59, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on April 4, 2026. She was born on November 29, 1966, in Hammond, Indiana, to Victor and Patricia (Legg) Ellis.

Tori moved to Michigan in 1972 and graduated from Mesick High School in 1985. She later settled in Sault Ste. Marie in 1990, where she built a life filled with love and family. On June 6, 2000, she married Matthew Mose Garber.

Tori became a mother on October 11, 1988, a role she cherished deeply, and later a proud grandmother on March 2, 2017.

Tori fiercely loved her family above all else. Victoria found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life; her beloved dogs, getting lost in a good book, and watching scary movies. Purple was her favorite color, and she had a special fondness for “Wicked” and Broadway musicals. She enjoyed riding horses, the thrill of rollercoasters, and had a unique collection of teapots. Victoria also had a sweet spot for anything flavored green apple.

Tori will be remembered for her deep love, vibrant interests, and the warmth she brought to those around her.

Tori is survived by her husband, Matthew; daughter, Jacquelyn (Chad) Plastino of Sault Ste. Marie; granddaughter, Nora Plastino; parents, Victor and Patricia; sister, Wenda Ellis of Florence, Oregon; and brother, Matthew Ellis of Copemish, Michigan.

Tori was preceded in death by her brother, Steven Ellis; and nephew, Abraham Ellis.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at Family Life Funeral Homes, 4951 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. The Memorial Sharing Service will follow beginning at 2:00 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Victoria to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter, 3660 South Mackinac Trail, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
