Timothy Frank Johnson, age 69, of Escanaba passed away on Monday, September 21, 2026 at the St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Tim was born May 27, 1957 in Escanaba, the son of George and Marlene (Harris) Johnson. He graduated from the Escanaba High School in 1975. He served his country in the United States Navy for several years and worked in naval security at Fort Meade, Maryland. While there he met Mary Patricia Hewitt. They were united in marriage on September 25, 1982 in Montauk, New York. Tim was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Escanaba. He was an avid Detroit Lions, Red Wings and Michigan Wolverines fan. He enjoyed spending time hunting, the outdoors, his pets and his grandson, "Timmers".

Tim is survived by his wife, Mary Pat; son, George Johnson; grandson, Timothy Isaiah Johnson; sisters, Nancy (Don) Bannister, Marilyn Booker, Chrissy (Jerry) Russell and Amy (William) Johnson, sister-in-law, Barbara Johnson and beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David Johnson.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Escanaba. Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM with Pastor Lewis Hague officiating. A luncheon will follow in the fellowship hall. Tim will be laid to rest with Military Honors at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
