Obituaries

Terry Lee Hoag-Routhier, age 31, of Kincheloe, Michigan, died on December 28, 2025, at his home. He was born on January 31, 1994, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Terry Hoag and Julee D. Routhier.

Terry grew up in Brimley, Michigan, and moved to Brooksville, Florida, around the age of ten. He graduated from Brooksville High’s Special Education program at approximately twenty years old and began working as a grocery stocker. Around the ages of 26–27, Terry returned to Michigan, where he worked at a recycling plant for a year and a half.

Terry was a loyal and dedicated volunteer for Florida Senior Living Centers.

Terry enjoyed playing video games, especially Fortnite, and was an avid fan of The Legend of Zelda. He also loved reading, singing, and, most of all, spending time with his family and beloved cat Nala.

Terry is survived by his mother, Julee Deanna Routhier; brother, Stephen (Stellah) M.B. Mayer; niece, Luna Harvey; aunt and uncle, Tonee & Chuck Therrian; cousins, Cesilee Dean and Rachel Gatehouse; and aunt, W. Jeanne Krause.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Terry Hoag; uncles, Charles Routhier and Eric Routhier; and grandparents, Thornton and Wanda Routhier.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
