Obituary For Sydney Alyse Wilson
Sydney Alyse Wilson, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece, cousin and friend passed from this life unexpectedly on Sunday, July 16, 2023, in Marquette, Michigan, at the age of 32. Our hearts are shattered by this devastating loss of our beautiful girl.
Sydney was born on May 24, 1991, to Timothy and Tricia (Lawson) Wilson in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. She grew up in Brimley, MI and was the Valedictorian of Brimley Area School’s Class of 2009. While in high school she lettered in many sports including basketball, track and field, softball, and volleyball. After high school Sydney attended Ferris State University where she majored in Radiography (Associate in Applied Science) and Health Care Systems Administration (Bachelor of Science). She then worked at War Memorial Hospital as an x-ray technician for 5 years. In the fall of 2019, Sydney took a job as a travel x-ray technician and CT technologist. She enjoyed traveling to different states along with her dog, Lily May, where they met many new friends.
When Sydney was not working her favorite pastime was to spend time with her two special nieces, Madalynn and Lorelei Wilson. The girls loved their Aunt Nyney and she loved to spoil them. She would come home to visit them as often as she could or tactically talk a family member into bringing them to visit her. Sydney was very artistic and would spend hours creating gifts for family and friends with her Cricut. Sydney also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite things to do included traveling, visiting the National Parks, going to concerts, having a good movie night, hiking, and biking. This summer Sydney and her dog Lily could be seen enjoying the beaches of Lake Superior or hiking and biking together around Marquette, MI.
Sydney is survived by her parents; Timothy and Tricia Wilson; brother Ryan (Enjoli) Wilson and nieces Madalynn and Lorelei Wilson; sister Tyffanie (Austin) Conway; grandparents Wilmer and Muriel (Galer) Lawson; along with many loved aunts & uncles; Steven (Sandi) Wilson, Ken (Vicki) Wilson, Trent (Kris) Lawson, Troy (Angela) Lawson, and Gayle Wilson; cousins Marissa (Isaac) Kaweesa, Kyle (Lindsay) Wilson, Justin Lawson, Cortney Wilson, Dana Wilson, Colin (Brita) MacQuarrie, Taylor (Tommy) Aikens, and J.T. Lawson. She is also survived by two very good friends she considered family; Meghan (Jake) Crawford, and Christina (Peyton) Blakely.
