Obituaries

Scott R. Osterhout, age 65, died peacefully on Monday, September 25th, 2023, at his home that he affectionately called "The Ranch" in Dafter, Michigan. Scott was born in the Sault on October 19th, 1957, to the late Raymond and Verna Osterhout.

Scott is survived by his wife, Cindy Hamilton, his and Cindy's children: Christopher '{Spike" (Angie)

Elander, Chad (Corey) Osterhout, Christopher (Nicole) Osterhout, Shayna Hamilton, and Jason Hamilton; eight grandchildren: Ethan and Lauren Elander, Chloe and Oliver Osterhout, Zander and Max Osterhout, and Abby and Ollivia Hamilton; siblings: Steven (Mary) Osterhout, Burch Osterhout, and Brenda (David) Cox; father-in-law Richard LeLievre; brother-in-law Dave (Deb) Harwood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Scott was the life of the party and always quick with a funny story. He loved spending time with family and friends, whether socializing in the garage, "hunting" at the hunting camp, or camping with his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed wintering in Florida with Cindy and cruising around the neighborhood on his golf cart at their Florida home. Scott always lived life to the fullest.

Scott retired in 2019. Prior to his retirement Scott worked as an electrical-supply account executive serving the Eastern Upper Peninsula and Northern Lower Michigan. During his long career he developed many close friendships with his customers.

At Scott's request there will be no funeral. The family is planning a celebration of life to be held in July of 2024.
