Obituaries

Rowen Lyle Grogan came into the world on the evening of June 6, 2023, and passed away unexpectedly a few short hours later, on June 7, 2023.

Rowen is survived by his loving parents, Nicholas and Sabrina Grogan, and older brother, Ryker, of Moran, Michigan. Rowen is also survived by his grandparents, who include Rick Scott of Newberry, Sandy and Roy Hopkins of Detroit, and Mike and Joni Grogan, of Moran, great grandparents, Roger and Crystal King, of Hulbert, aunt and uncles, Dakota Scott (Autumn), and Ricky Scott, and many cousins, extended family, and friends that were anxiously awaiting his entrance into this world.

Rowen was preceded in death by his great grandparents, who include Pat and Nan Grogan, Millie King, Neil Salisbury, and Evelyn Roark.

The loss of a child is something that no parent should have to experience. Our hearts are broken. The loss of Rowen came as a complete shock and there was no indication that this would happen. Several fundraisers have been started to help the family, including the St. Ignace Taco Bell who are donating 20% of their sales from June 14th, a GoFundMe page started by friends, and a benefit dinner put on by Nick’s coworkers at the Michigan Department of Corrections.

Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception parish in Moran, on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. with the funeral service following at 11 A.M.

A burial will follow the service at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
