Obituaries

Robert Bruce Graham, age 90, passed away from natural causes on September 20, 2026. He was born in Detroit, Michigan, on November 17, 1935, to Scott and Arlene (Millage) Graham.

Bob lived most of his life in St. Clair Shores, Michigan. A 1954 graduate of Lake Shore High School, he was a star athlete in baseball and basketball. After high school, he attended Wayne State University and proudly served his country in the United States National Guard. He had a long career as a metallurgist with Howmet Corporation, Spectrographic Testing Lab (Metropolitan Alloys Corporation), and DuPont Performance Coatings in Mt. Clemens, retiring in 2003. He was married to Nancy Elaine (Boggia) Graham for 62 years until her passing in 2020.

Bob loved his family deeply and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He was a dear friend to many. Fun-loving and the life of the party, he had a keen sense of humor and often had a joke to share. He always enjoyed a good Scotch or a beer, and sometimes even a bad Scotch. He loved country music, especially Hank Snow. A devoted Detroit sports fan, he also kept close tabs on Shorian athletics.

He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and “hiking”. He loved spending time in Northern Michigan, including the Clam River area near Marion and Drummond Island. After Nancy's passing, he made Drummond Island his home for the final years of his life.

Bob is survived by his sons, Scott (Sandra) Graham of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, and Thomas (Beth) Graham of Drummond Island; brother, Douglas (Lynn) Graham; and brother-in-law, Jerry Boggia. He was a loving and devoted grandfather to Griffin (Marissa), David (Jessica), Mitchell (Alexandria), Iza (Ziv), Bennett, and Harrison. His first great-granddaughter, the daughter of Griffin and Marissa, is expected soon.

Our memories of him will always bring smiles to our faces and warmth to our hearts. We are his legacy.
