Renee Christine Crisp, age 72, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on December 24, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie. She was born on November 6, 1953, in Sault Ste. Marie, to James and Adeline (Cooper) Leigh.

Renee grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and attended Sault Area High School. She later met Ron Quirt, and together they were married and raised three children: Ronnie, and twins Shelly and Kelly. Renee worked as a Deli Manager at Super Valu, now known as Pat’s, where she was well respected for her dedication and strong work ethic.

Renee had a true passion for cooking and catering special occasions. She especially loved decorating cupcakes and cakes for family birthdays and holidays, and she was well known among family and friends for her exceptional cooking skills. Spending time with loved ones brought her great joy.

Renee also enjoyed snowmobiling, often pulling the children along on their sleds, creating many cherished memories. Renee had a natural talent for crafting, particularly seasonal decorations, and took great pleasure in gifting her handmade creations to family and friends.

Renee is survived by her children, Ronnie Quirt of Sault Ste. Marie, Shelly (Blaine Thorogood) Quirt of Sault Ste. Marie, and Kelly (Gary Miller) Quirt of Madison, Wisconsin; step-children, Jennifer Menard, Landon (Dalila) Menard, and Ernie (Autumn) Menard all of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Preston Quirt, Austin Quirt, Adeline Quirt, and Raena Miller; great-grandchild, Stone Quirt; siblings, Donna (Jim) Greenfield, Paula Boutillier, Mike Leigh, John (Kathy) Leigh, Cindy (Randy) Leigh-McKinney, and Rhonda (Joe) Cottelit; brother-in-law, Jim Solko; sister-in-law, Debbie Leigh; her grand puppy, Faith; close friend, Hulda Moran; and many nieces and nephews.

Renee was preceded in death by her husband, James Crisp; grandson, Ethan Burridge; parents, James and Adeline; brother, Chuck Leigh; sister, Brenda Solko; and nephew, Bobby Leigh.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring of 2026.
