Obituary For Ramdall Dale Bertram

Randall “Randy” Dale Bertram, age 74, of Marquette, Michigan, died on August 26th, 2023. He was born on October 2nd, 1948, to Dale Edward and Lenore Joyce (Lee) Bertram in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada.

Randy graduated from Sault High School with the class of 1966. He worked for his family at the Ripvan Motel on Portage. He joined the army after he was told there was no need for more marines. He was proud of his service to his country and was proud to follow in his grandfather’s footsteps. He was a proud member and elder of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marquette, Michigan. He worked as security for Hiawatha Music Festival. He also had a political career as he was the County Commissioner for District 4.

Randy enjoyed fishing and hunting while at camp. He was a hard worker. He learned piano from a young age and whenever there was a piano in sight you could often find him making beautiful music. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a snowbird who enjoyed leaving for Florida during the winters. Randy also loved diving in the Great Lakes. He used wood from sunken ships to make various nautical items to share with family. He was a true yooper through and through.

Randall is survived by his children: Jennifer (Fred) Ware of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Stephanie (Jonathan) Bowerman of Davison, Michigan, Matthew (Alisa) Bertram of Thousand Oaks, California; Kimber (Bill) Schumann, Kyle Grisham, Kaylie (Tom) Snow; twelve grandchildren: Zack, Hudson, Nash, Easton, Bjorn, Grady, Jack, Leona, Edward, Julia, Tyler, and Lucy; siblings: Sherry (Mark) LeBarre, Valerie (Scott) Willardson, Leanne (Rick) Weihl, Michelle Slagter, Gene (Sue) Bertram, Lee (Linda) Bertram, Kim Bertram; and his loving companion: Mavis Grisham.

Randall is preceded in death by his parents and his infant daughter Julie Ann Bertram.

Visitation will be held at C. S. Mulder Funeral Home on September 2, 2023, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. The funeral service will follow.
