Paulette “Poo” Marie Brazeau-Wilson, age 77, of Drummond Island, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her girls on August 11, 2025, at Medilodge in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born on September 4, 1947, in Pinconning, Michigan, to Leo and Pauline (Moore) Brazeau.

Poo was passionate about her family and friends. She always had music playing and a cold beer ready for any visitor. Her famous “porch therapy” became a gathering place where loved ones could talk, laugh, cry, dance, or simply take in the gorgeous view together.

In recent years, after moving into Medilodge, Poo faced challenges with strength and grace. She continued to touch lives, forming new friendships with residents and staff who quickly became part of her extended family.

Poo was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the many lives she brightened along the way.

Poo is survived by her daughters, Heather (Adam) Berdhardt, Holly Perkins, and Jennifer (Steve Groh) Wilson; grandchildren, Taylor (Jerrod) Dillon, Reese (Shane) Wright, Riley (Ursula Blanchard) Prough, James Mendham, Megan Mendham, and Matthew Mendham; great-grandson, Jexton Dillon; siblings and their families; Andrea Ballor, Denise (Jim) Shell, Lisa (Bill) Owens, Patrice (Jim) DeYoung, Pierre (Jackie) Brazeau, and Jackie (Richard) Jenkins.

Poo was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Pauline; brothers, Mike Brazeau and Lee Brazeau; son-in-law, Timothy Perkins; and beloved oldest grandson, Chase Ford.

A Memorial Service will be held on September 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at The Drummond Island Lighthouse Christian Church, 29898 E. Pine St., Drummond Island, MI 49726.

A Celebration of Poo’s life will immediately follow at the Drummond Island Township Golf Course, 29901 E. Fairchild Ln., Drummond Island, MI 49726. Food and drinks will be provided.
