Obituary For Noel Ann Sutton

Noel Ann (Brassar) Sutton, age 84, of Brimley, Michigan, was taken by the lord on January 7, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 25, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to Eugene and Marion (Coons) Brasser.

Noel graduated from Brimley High School and later attended Soo Tech for a short time. She met James Kinsella Sutton, and the two were united in marriage on January 21, 1961, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Together, they began their family and built a life rooted in love and devotion. Noel and James also owned and operated the Racolodge for many years, where they welcomed countless guests and formed lasting friendships.

Noel was a faithful member of First Congregational Church in Brimley.

Noel found joy in many hobbies and interests, including cooking, home decorating, and tending to her flower gardens. She was an avid reader who loved traveling and exploring new places and was always ready for a road trip to visit family and friends. Noel enjoyed bowling with her league friends, cake decorating, knitting, and sewing. She had a special love for dogs and was known as a devoted card sender, often writing heartfelt notes to family and friends in her beautiful penmanship.

Above all, Noel was a selfless and caring woman who always put others before herself. She loved God, her family, her friends, her pets, and nature, and her kindness and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Noel is survived by her husband of 65 years, James; daughter, Debra (Richard) Bloomer of Riverview, Florida; son, Patrick Sutton of Brimley; and daughter, Marion (Jeffrey) Allen of Ypsilanti, Michigan; grandchildren, Kaylin (Cameron) Moser, Richard Bloomer Jr., Hunter Sutton and Bradley Allen; and great-granddaughter, Annabelle Moser.

Noel was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Marion; sister, Nicole Brassar; and grandson, Bradley Allen.

A memorial service will take place, with details to be announced soon.

Noel’s final resting place will be Hill Crest Cemetery in Superior Township, Michigan.
