Obituaries

Nancy K. Beeck, age 74, of St. Ignace, was reunited with her parents on January 21, 2023, at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Cheboygan, Michigan, on May 26, 1948, to Russell and Phyllis (Powers) Beeck.

Nancy grew up in St. Ignace and graduated from LaSalle High School. She attended Northern Michigan University for CNA training, which she did most of her life, working in Michigan, Arizona, and Oklahoma. She married John Jenerou on December 10, 1964, in St. Ignace. Her favorite job was driving a tour bus all over the U.S. for several years.

Nancy loved making art. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, knitting, and making candy.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Lorie Jenerou, Heidi Jenerou, and Jennie Jenerou of Marquette, Michigan; son, John Jenerou; niece, Sherry Peterson; grandchildren, Becca Noriega, C.J. Jenerou, Seth Beeck, Lorraine Jenerou, Devin Beeck, Alex Vandermate, Ashleigh Shaull, Kailynn Jenerou, and Michael Shaull; great grandchildren, Zoey, Emmett, John, Maggie, and Tito; sisters, Brenda (Lyle) St. Andrew of St. Ignace, and Diana Crandall of Aubun, Indiana; and brother, Roland (Rhonda) Beeck of Kingsford, Michigan.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Russel and Phyllis Beeck; and ex-husband, John Jenerou.

Services will be announced later in the Spring of 2023.
