Michael “Moose” Eugene Pace, age 68, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on December 25, 2025, surrounded by his family, at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was born on August 29, 1957, in Phoenix, Arizona, to William and Charlene (Nichols) Pace.

Mike’s greatest love was his family and friends, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. “Nobody can make it like PaPa” was a phrase often heard from them, a testament to the special place he held in their hearts. A man of many talents, Mike was always willing to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.

Mike enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting, and was especially well known as the camp chef, making memories and meals that brought everyone together.

Mike is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dianne; sons, Travis (Desiree) Pace of Casper, Wyoming and Troy (Andrea) Pace of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Heighden Walsh, Natalie Pace, Lane Walsh, Allison Pace, Liam Pace, Genevieve Kinnear, Wyatt Pace and Zayn Pace; siblings, Johanna “Jody” (Chuck) Fabry, Timothy (Cathy) Pace, Dan (Janet) Pace, Tina (Tom) Melloh, and Viola (Ron) Bennett; and lifelong friends, Steve LaLonde, and Lou Killips.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2026. Further details will be shared at a later date.
