Michael Dominick Abruscato, age 74, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on August 19, 2023, at Hospice of the EUP- Hospice House. He was born on November 6, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to James and Beatrice (Rogers-Cardilino) Abruscato.

Mike grew up in Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of Forman High School, and he began working for the City of Chicago Water Department. He raised his family and after working for 33 years he retired in 2004. Mike and his family moved to Sault Ste. Marie in 2012. He spent many hours volunteering in the last few years and made the most of his retirement.

Mike was a volunteer at the C.C. Hall and American Legion. He enjoyed collecting coins, fishing, shooting pool, he was a avid history buff, and was a huge Cubs and Bears fan. He also enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and watching old westerns. Mike loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a quiet man but enjoyed a good joke. Just recently, Mike, started to write songs and enjoyed many games of blackjack at the casino.

Michael is survived by his children: James (Hannah) Abruscato, Joseph (Belinda) Abruscato both of Sault Ste. Marie; brother, Thomas Bruce, and sister-in-law, Mary June Bartlett of Sault Ste. Marie, MI; grandchildren: Mario, Carmella, Isaac, Jayden and Zoey.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Coralie Bruce.
