Lillian "Maxine" Jerman, 83, of Bay Mills, MI, passed from this life on Monday January 9, 2023 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Maxine was born on August 11, 1939 in Bay Mills, MI to Edmund C. Teeple and Beulah Teeple (Holliday).

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bob; her parents; brothers, Gary and Leonard; sister, Catherine; and nephews, Gary, Lenny, and Joey. She is survived by her children, Tammy (Frank), Joan (Diane), Bobbi (Walt), Kelly, and Rob (Jen); siblings. Eugene (Faye), Regina (Rocky), and Michael (Laura); 18 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous fur-grandanimals.

Maxine enjoyed walks on the beach with her husband. She also enjoyed napping, spending time with her family, watching tv, playing cards, slots and bingo with friends.

Visitation will be held at the Elder Center, 12485 W. Lakeshore Dr., Brimley, MI 49715, Wednesday January 11, 2023 starting at 5:00pm until Traditional Services on Thursday January 12, 2023 at 10:00am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow Traditional Services at 11:00am with Father Romeo Cappella officiating at the Elder Center. The Pipe Ceremony will be Wednesday January 11, 2023 at 7:00pm. Final resting place will be Mission Hill Cemetery in Bay Mills, MI. There will be a Traditional Ojibwe Ceremony following the services. Clark Hovie Galer Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
