Obituaries

According to I Thessalonians 4:13-18, Reverend Lenise A. Bergman, age 71, of Sault Ste. Marie,
Michigan, went to sleep in Christ on March 17, 2026, to be raised at His appearing. Lenise was
born in Belleview, Ohio, on April 20, 1954, and was the only child of Linwood and Shirley (Fraser) Quick.

Lenise grew up in Newberry, Michigan. She was co-founder of several local church ministries and was active in church building design, children’s ministry, church administration, lady’s groups, sound and music ministries, computer and prison ministries.

Reverend Lenise always said. “You will find me in the background, in support. Children and animals flocked to her love for them. Her close friend and business partner, Lauren Ring raised many Shih Tzu and Teddy Bear puppy litters.

Those family members who are alive and remain are husband of fifty-two years, Pastor Lou Bergman; daughters, Mindy (Jon Dame) Bergman, Jodi (Michael) Luepnitz; grandchildren, Taylor Paquette, Cade Paquette, Micah Lueptitz, and Elysse Lueptitz; close pets, Oliver, Chummie, Sadie, Zoe, Otis, Roxie, and Lucy.

An honor church service was observed on March 22, 2026, at New Covenant Church in Sault Ste. Marie. A future Celebration of Life may take place in Sault Ste. Marie at a later date, with the burial at Forest Home Cemetery in Newberry, Michigan, in the summer.

Reverend Lenise would want us all to go forward in The Name of Jesus as we await His glorious
appearance.
