Kenneth John Linacre, age 53, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey, Michigan. He was born on July 25, 1973, in Manistique, Michigan, to George and Linda (Gustafson) Linacre.

Ken grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault Area High School. He worked at Burger King before becoming the lead cashier at the deli at Bay Mills Kings Club, where he worked over fifteen years before becoming disabled.

Ken was a member of First Church of Christ in Sault Ste. Marie.

Ken had a unique sense of humor and a knack for changing the lyrics of songs on the radio to make them his own. He enjoyed watching sports and was a dedicated fan of the Miami Dolphins and New Jersey Devils. He also spent many years playing in softball leagues and bowling and enjoyed a good game of cribbage.

Ken is survived by his wife, Terri; stepson, Jesse Simon of Engadine, Michigan; siblings, Michael (Sharon Murchie) Linacre of Haslett, Michigan, and Jeaninne Houser of Humestom, Iowa; and his beloved furry friends, Jinxy Bell, Diamond and Leo Lion.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, George and Linda; and siblings, George Linacre, Daniel Linacre, and Donna Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November, 7, 2026, begins 11:00 AM, at First Church of Christ, 300 W. Spruce St., Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. A luncheon will follow after service.

Memorial contributions may be made to Family Life Funeral Homes, 24549 S. M-129, Pickford, MI 49774, to assist the family with funeral expenses. The family is deeply grateful for the love, support, and generosity shown by friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
