Obituary For Keith Allen Grogan

Keith Allen Grogan, age 67, of Dafter, Michigan, died on January 28, 2026, at My Michigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on June 14, 1958, in St. Ignace, Michigan, to William and Jane (Thompson) Grogan.

Keith grew up in Rexton, Michigan, and graduated from LaSalle High School in St. Ignace.
Keith was a proud member of several organizations, including the Eagles in Ohio, Moose Lodge 717, VFW Post 3676, American Legion Post 3 in Sault Ste. Marie, VFW Post 5114 in St. Ignace, and the Fraternal Order of Orioles, Kincheloe Nest 311.

Keith enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending time at the hunting camp. He loved being with family and friends, listening to country music, cutting wood, and taking part in a pool league. He also enjoyed playing cornhole. Keith was stubborn in the way that came from knowing who he was, and kind in the way that mattered most. He would do anything for anyone, never hesitating to help, no matter what the situation. His heart was as big as his presence. Some of his happiest moments were spent laughing and making memories with family and friends. Keith’s laugh was unforgettable—you could hear it from a mile away—and it’s a sound that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Keith is survived by his children, Shannon (Scott) Jones of Barbeau, Michigan, Sarah (Jake) McMillan of Rudyard, Michigan, and William “Billy” Joseph (Haley) Grogan of St. Ignace; mother of his children, Donna Grogan; grandchildren, Elisha Howell, Taylor Sullivan, Ace DeKeyser, Mya McMillan, Sky McMillan, Cutler Grogan, Lia Grogan and Jayson Grogan; great-grandson, Cyrus McLeod; brother, Kevin (Carmen) Grogan of Grand Marais, Minnesota; step brother, Brian Hansen; step sisters, Kim Gillispie, Sue, and Myra and families; significant other, Debbie Goeschel; and special friends, Brian and Jodie Siemen. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will forever miss his kindness, generosity, and unmistakable laugh.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, William and Jane Grogan; sisters, Kerry and Kayleen Grogan; and Son, Jayson Grogan.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
