John William Harrington, of Newberry, Michigan, age 57, died on February 2, 2026, at the Ball
Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on January 4, 1969, in Bay City,
Michigan, to David and Susan (Allen) Harrington.

John grew up in Roscommon, Michigan, where he attended special education classes. He later
lived in Caro, Michigan, before settling in Newberry where he completed his schooling.

John was a member of the Southern Baptist Church and was actively involved in the Country
Kicker Band, church choir, and Special Olympics.

John had a deep love for music. He was always singing, playing the guitar, listening to his
favorite music, and collecting records of all sizes. He also enjoyed watching movies, with The
Bucket List and Tank among his favorites, along with westerns and The Waltons. John had a
special place in his heart for animals, especially cats and dogs.

John is survived by his mother, Susan Harrington.

John is preceded in death by his father, David Harrington.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at the Christian
Fellowship Baptist Church, 314 E. Truman Avenue, Newberry, MI 49768.
