Obituaries

John W. Osborn, 71, a longtime resident, businessman and farmer, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday February 14, 2023.

Born on January 16, 1952, in Sault Ste. Marie, John Graduated from Sault Area High School in the class of 1951. He then Attended Michigan State University in their Agricultural program. When he came back to the area, he had a hobby farm and started an Improv-All soil and feed testing service, then started Osborn Construction in addition to his farm until his retirement in 2022.

Although busy with his employment endeavors, his passion was his Lord, his children, and his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, the former Norma Byers whom he married on November 6, 1976, in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan by the Reverend Harry Sundman

Also surviving are his children Jeremiah Osborn, Joshua (Andrea) Osborn, and Naomi (Mike) Shunk, all Dafter; grandchildren Abigail, Violet Gracie, Johnathan Andrew Comma, Danielle, Amelia, Josie, and Hadley Osborn, Sophia, Madison, and Armour Shunk, and 1 great-grandchild to be expected.

Also surviving are 2 brothers Donald (Geri) Osborn, Ronald (Helen) Osborn all of Sault Ste. Marie, and sisters Diane Gravette of Traverse City, Susan (Gary) Palmer of Pickford and Patricia (Ron Sr.) Blalock of Sault Ste. Marie; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A gathering of friends and family will be held at the C. S. Mulder Funeral Home in Sault Ste. Marie, on Thursday, February 23, 2023, from 1:00 pm until 3;00 pm.
