JoAnne Fox, age 73, of Kincheloe, Michigan, died on October 18, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones, at home. She was born on December 13, 1951, in Hackensack, New Jersey, to William and Gladys (Mann) DeGroat.

JoAnne was raised in Mahwah, New Jersey, and was one of nine siblings. She married the love of her life, Lowell Fox, in Maryland, and together they shared fifty-five wonderful years of marriage. She was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

JoAnne had a love for simple joys. She could often be found playing bingo or exploring the roads, woods, and trails in her side-by-side. Above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

JoAnne is survived by her husband, Lowell; children, Bradley (Debbie) Fox, Kelly Walling, Cecelia (Todd) Fox, Lowell (Beverly) Fox Jr., and James Fox; grandchildren, Autumn (Roman) Wood, Kyle Fox, Michael Hager Jr., Kayla (Robert) Parr, Jordan Walling, Nathan Walling, Savannah Fox, Joseph (Jazlyn) Fox, James Fox, Austin Fox, Britney (Joseph) Fox, Michael (Kristen) O’Hara, and Aaliyah Fox; great-grandchildren, Bentley, Kaisley, Baby Parr, MaKenzie, Jerid Jr., Jasper, Jemma, Lainey, and Kellin; son-in-law, Jim Walling; grandson-in-law, Jerid Norris; and siblings, John DeGroat, Jay DeGroat, Trace DeGroat, Dennis “Kip” DeGroat, Wendy Michura, and Carol Sanchez.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Gladys; brother, William DeGroat; and sister, Kathy DeGroat.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

JoAnne’s final resting place will be at Airmont Lutheran Cemetery in Suffern, New York.
