Janice Sue Johnston, age 66, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday, August 17, 2023, at her home. She was born March 31, 1957 in Highland Park, Michigan, to Michael and Helen (Rimer) Olesek.

Jan will be remembered by all that knew her as a kindhearted and loving mom, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Janice is survived by her children, James (Angela) Johnston and Shannon (Steven) Warner; siblings, Charles (Pat) Olesek, Walter (Connie) Olesek, Anna (Jeff) Sturgis, and Stanley (Candy) Olesek; grandchildren, Anthony (Tiffany) Warner, Sophia (Jalen) Warner, Jessyka (Damon) McDonald, Ashley (Cody) Mayer, Jane Johnston, and Kate Johnston; great-grandchildren, Olivia Warner, Lilian Warner, Nicholina Warner, Vincent Warner, Bradley Spaay, Jettson Spaay, Viktor McDonald, and Arya Mayer.

Janice was predeceased by her parents and her oldest son, Maurice Johnston.

Following Janice's wishes cremation has taken place and her final resting place will be Riverside Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
