Janet Marie (Brockriede) Kimball, age 89, of Charlevoix, Michigan, died on March 23, 2023, at the American House Charlevoix Senior Living Center in Charlevoix. Janet was born in Flint, Michigan on October 19, 1933, to Roscoe and Leona (Rasche) Brockriede.

Janet grew up in Flint and graduated from Flint Northern High School. After graduation she attended Hurley School of Nursing and graduated as a Registered Nurse. She worked at The A.C. Spark Plug Company as an RN her entire career. She met Charles Kimball and they married on April 23, 1974. Upon her retirement, Janet and Charles moved to Drummond Island, Michigan.

Janet was a member of The Drummond Island Lutheran Church.

She loved her cat Smokey, riding horses and reading a good book.

Janet is survived by nephews; Alan Williams of Davison, Michigan, Gary Williams of Paris, Kentucky, and David Brockriede of Lake Fenton, Michigan; caregivers, Lee Storch and Tracy McCain.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Elmer Brockriede, Robert Brockriede, and Richard Brockriede; sisters, Dorothy (Brockriede) Renkie, and Marcella (Brockriede) Williams.

The final resting place will be at Drummond Island Cemetery, in Chippewa Twp, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled for later in the year.
