Janet Leone Tippett, 87, of Hudson Township, passed away Sunday evening, June 28, 2026, at her residence.

Born January 28, 1939, in Pontiac, she was the daughter of the late George and Eva (Drumheller) Kinney. On September 22, 1956, in Pontiac, Janet married the love of her life, Jack W. Tippett, with whom she shared 64 years of devotion, partnership, and family.

In 1975, Janet and Jack moved to the Naubinway/Rexton area, where Janet became a beloved cook at Beaudin’s Café in Naubinway. For 30 years she served the community with her warm presence, steady work ethic, and the kind of meals that made people feel at home. She retired after three decades of service, leaving behind countless friendships and fond memories.

Janet enjoyed the simple joys of life - spending time with her family, watching movies, and tending to her garden. Her quiet strength, gentle humor, and unwavering love for those around her will be remembered always.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, on January 1, 2021, and her sister, Loretta Ross.

Survivors include her children: Gary Tippett of MIssouri; John (Beverly) Tippett of Clarkston; Patrick Tippett of Gould City; Robin Lukens of Naubinway; and Mary (Rich) Lewallan of Rogers, Arkansas; along with 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will take place Thursday July 9, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry. Funeral services celebrating Janet’s life will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Eric Lytle officiating.

Interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery in Rexton.
