Obituaries

Jake Ronald Postma, 82, of Rudyard, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on October 19th, 2023. Jake was born June 16, 1941, to Chris and Tena Postma in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

He attended Rudyard Area Schools. He was a member of the Christian Reformed Church. After returning from the Army, he met and married Carol Jeske from Pickford, Michigan. They were married for 54 years.

Jake worked as a tile setter and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.

Survivors also include Daughters, Misty (Doug) Murdock of Kincheloe, Michigan, Stacey Postma of Rudyard; Grandchildren, Dallis (Tanner) Dobrowolski of Sault Ste Marie, DJ (Dani) Murdock of Kincheloe, and Mandy (Brian) Blackall of Missouri, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Preceding him in death were his two sons, Darrin and Kurtis; daughter, Marcy; Brother, Chris Postma and sisters, Marion VanSloten and Audrey Hoolsema.

Funeral Service will be held at the Christian Reformed Church in Rudyard on October 24th at 11:00 AM. Visitation is to begin at 10:00 AM.
