Obituary For Frances Marlene Rairigh
Frances Marlene (Klamerus) Rairigh, age 69, from DeTour, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at Mackinac Straits Hospital in St. Ignace, Michigan. She was born on March 22, 1956, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Frank and Helen (Zwolinski) Klamerus. Frances lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family and a profound love for animals and nature.
Frances grew up in Goetzville and graduated from DeTour High School. While living in DeTour, she met
Michael Rairigh and the two quickly formed a lifelong bond. They were married on August 14, 1976, at St.
Stanislaus Church in Goetzville, and soon after began building their family together. Frances was a wonderful mother and devoted wife whose gentle spirit and loving, understanding ways left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her life was centered around the people she loved most, her husband, children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Frances was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kosta Church.
Frances found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved tending to her vegetable and flower gardens and caring for her beloved pets. Creative at heart, she enjoyed oil painting, cross-stitching, and crafting, including papier- mâché, and she rarely missed an episode of Bob Ross. Frances also loved to be in the kitchen cooking. Above all else, Frances cherished time with her family. She had a nurturing spirit, loved caring for children, and never stopped being a mom at heart.
Frances is survived by her beloved husband, Michael Rairigh; son, Brandon Rairigh and his wife Sahra;
daughter, Tamiera Boise; cherished grandchildren, Lily Rairigh and Scott Rairigh; brothers, Robert (Teresa) Klamerus and David (Sharon) Klamerus; sister, Kathleen Klamerus; brother-in-law, Lyn (Cathy) Rairigh; sisters-in-law, Terry (Gary) Smith, Kelly (Michael) Rudd, and Shannon (Don) Bishop; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Klamerus; siblings, Vincent (Ruth) Klamerus, Sally Klamerus, and Jeanne Klamerus; as well as her in-laws, Raymond and Whaneva Rairigh.
Her legacy lives on through the love she gave so freely to those around her. Whether nurturing a blooming flowerbed or offering a listening ear to a loved one in need, Frances brought warmth and compassion into every space she entered.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
